Position Overview 

We are in the Human Resources business, and our clients consist of fast-moving, growing companies who look to us to manage the day-to-day HR needs, including payroll administration, for their employees. Our Account Manager holds a pivotal role in supervising and administering HR operations for a specified clientele. Serving as the primary liaison for client organizations, they guarantee the provision of extensive HR services that correspond to the clients' business goals and regulatory obligations. Acting as a strategic ally, the Account Manager offers counsel and assistance across all HR facets, collaborating with internal HR teams to ensure client engagement and project alignment.

For this position we are looking for an individual who is:

  • Communicative, this includes speaking up, ensuring that you are on the same page and listening to the client.
  • Organized, keeping yourself organized in multiple systems depending on the client.
  • Relationship Driven, learn about the clients and their business, while building a rapport and trust.
  • Push the boundaries, know when to challenge clients to streamline process and engage.

As an Account Manager, this role involves daily client interaction, requiring efficient communication of client needs to HR business partners and directly involved employees.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients.
  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of each client to provide tailored HR solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client and the HR service provider.

2. HR Consulting:

  • Provide expert guidance to clients on a wide range of HR topics, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop HR strategies aligned with their business goals.
  • Offer recommendations to optimize HR processes and strategies.

3. Compliance and Regulations:

  • Ensure clients' HR practices and policies are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay current with changes in employment laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.
  • Ensure best practices are followed.

4. Employee Relations:

  • Assist clients in handling employee relations issues, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Advise on disciplinary actions and terminations while minimizing legal risk.

5. Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs within client organizations and work with sales team and client to develop the appropriate training program to fit the clients' needs.
  • Coordinate training programs to enhance employees' skills and knowledge.
  • Provide ongoing support for HR-related issues.

6. Collaborate

  • Ability to review and understand all client scopes of service.
  • Work across all the HR staff to make sure clients are well taken care of and that their expectations are being met, within scope.
  • Work on small projects for clients as needed; policy review, handbook review, process review, etc.…
  • Manage HR projects from initiation to completion with internal team, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Four to Five years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on client management and HR consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR data.
  • Proficiency in HR software, databases, and tools. Paycor, Paylocity, UKG, APS and iSolved preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or project implementation.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Work Environment 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, projectors and tablets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 PM.
