Summary:

The Human Resource Manager will oversee the human resources department and provide guidance and leadership by successfully bringing all other departments together in a positive human capital management environment. Will use the ability to develop programs and processes that provide clear deadlines in pursuing and achieving company strategic and financial objectives; and help to create HR strategies for the future.


Main Duties:

  • Supervision of Human Resources Department
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations as they relate to day-to-day management of employees
  • Confirm that company employment, recruiting, safety, labor relations, personnel, and EEOC practices comply with provisions of regulatory agencies
  • Management of open enrollment, 401k information sessions and other employee training sessions as needed
  • Administration of workers compensation claims and reporting, and working with other departments to ensure employee safety and welfare
  • Effective employee relations and counseling, and serving as a a liaison between management and employees by answering questions and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Administration of company’s Affirmative Action Program
  • Oversight of Employee Performance Evaluations
  • Ensuring updated Employee Training Records;
  • Coordination and management of HR documents, forms and content
  • Oversight of employee physical and electronic files.


ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field preferred
  • PHR/SPHR certifications are a plus
  • 5+ years of HR experience (with at least 4 years in management)
  • Background in manufacturing is highly preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong interviewing and candidate reviewing capabilities
  • Screening and interviewing of candidates to recruit associates for current openings
  • Outstanding emotional intelligence and ability to work collaboratively
  • Planning, development, implementation, and documentation of new policies and procedures - Management of temporary staffing vendors and labor
  • Excellent skills in employee orientation, development, and training
  • Familiarity with and certification (desired) to perform federal E-Verify screening
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting priorities
  • Experience in successfully working in a culturally diverse organization
