Reports To: Regional Sales Manager
Summary:
Responsible for achieving sales volume and distribution objectives of the company and supplier by managing and coaching a team of sales representatives to make their standards of performance goals through proper planning, organization, training, and execution.
Responsibilities:
• Lead sales meetings, assure coverage of all appointments in a timely and professional manner, and assist with local marketing initiatives
• Conduct sales appointments with customers completing our standard sales process, product demonstration, proposal development, and contract completion for these appointments
• Drive process improvement, training, communication, and execution amongst the sales team to deliver results and continuous improvement
• Leverage available reporting tools and metrics to assess sales team performance
• Lead business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle
• Negotiate and manage sales-cycles. Present to C-level executives in corporate and global customers
• Provides on-going sales feedback & skills training to their assigned field sales representatives
• Work directly with specific target accounts and develop new territories
• Travel with field sales rep. to analyze, develop skills and review progress
• Liaison for manufacturer's reps and branch offices
• Promote and work lines with all employees and work with manufactures on lines
• Work with marketing coordinator on monthly promotions, and trade shows
• Evaluate customers, products sold, and coordinate with branch managers for activities
• Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
• Proven and verifiable sales achievement as an individual contributor and/or manager
• Experience and proficiency leading and managing a team of sales associates
• A passionate ambassador for the company with the ability to convey the corporate message (vision and strategy) convincingly to the customer
• Process and solution oriented, keeps the long term in the forefront while solving for the short term
Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field is preferred
• Proven experience in sales management and leadership
