Our US-based client is a global supplier of electric products that keep manufacturers and distributors up and running. The offering is product based with a heavy emphasis on services and engineering. Competition in the market is minimal, allowing the company to drive strong profits. Support for sales associates is exemplary and continually evolving making this a great atmosphere for business development and account management for growth.
This is a remote work role covering a territory with little overnight travel.
In addition to the salary, the compensation includes a 30%+ (30% at target and uncapped) commission program and a company vehicle.
A full benefits suite is also offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster relationships with existing clients as part of a global team focused on maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) solutions, specializing in both current and legacy automation equipment.
- Partner with Account Management and internal Sales teams to deepen relationships with key accounts.
- Conduct approximately 3-4 in-person client meetings per day, for 4-4.5 days a week, to drive engagement.
- Identify opportunities to increase client spend by actively seeking new prospects within assigned accounts.
- Develop and implement plans to meet or exceed sales activity and revenue targets.
- Present solutions effectively while ensuring alignment with clients’ technical needs.
- Craft tailored strategies to capitalize on upsell opportunities and broaden product offerings at existing accounts.
- Ensure alignment with company objectives while addressing specific customer requirements and pain points.
- Expand contact network at customer sites to influence vendor selection processes.
- Conduct in-depth customer needs assessments to identify additional product opportunities for company.
- Focus on business expansion by identifying new opportunities and understanding client needs.
- Create personalized proposals and promotional materials to address client-specific requirements.
- Stay current on industry developments, competitors, and market trends.
- Participate in weekly team strategy sessions and regular check-ins with leadership to review performance metrics and priorities.
- Engage in continuous learning through product and skills training, as well as collaborative field visits.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Familiarity with industrial products and technical solutions is REQUIRED.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
- Experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid understanding of key sales principles and best practices.
- Focused on client engagement, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Competent in MS Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
- Knowledge of MRO products, technologies, and solutions.
- Valid driver’s license required.
