IT Deskside Engineer – End User Device Install, Repair, Setup, Configuration, Upgrade. Office Moves/Setup and Minimal migration.

We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer who can provide onsite, maintenance, and support services in a highly demanding environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in delivering these services in a large corporate environment and a track record of providing exceptional customer service.

Description:

Working as part of a dynamic team you will be providing 1st and 2nd line on-site user support. This includes analyzing incidents, problems & service requests, proposing solutions, and helping with implementation. You will also be responsible for any escalation and follow-up(s).

The ideal candidate will be an expert in dealing with customers at all levels; bringing hands-on technical skills as well as great interpersonal skills.

Previous experience working in a corporate IT environment is an asset
Excellent customer-facing and communication skills; adaptable and welcoming of change.

General Requirements:

·Must have delivered deskside support within a large corporate environment for a minimum of 1+ years

· Possess a wide range of technical skills including client, server, software deployment, email & application knowledge.

· Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, O/S, and software issues (laptop, desktop, printers).

·Windows 10 and Microsoft O365 troubleshooting.

· HP Desktop & Laptop experience.

· IOS /Apple experience.

· Imaging / Reimaging computers/hard drives.

· Provide Installations, Configuration, Moves, Additions, Changes, and Decommissioning of end-user equipment.

· Providing face-to-face customer support, end-user support as well as telephone support for remote users, Experience with TeamViewer or other remote support tools.

· Ongoing maintenance tasks on the company's desktop environment.

· Software issues for in-house applications

· Handling of tickets in the IT ticketing tool

· Quick analysis and incident management, close collaboration with expert team

· Preparing new hardware

· Staging laptops and PC's with SCCM

· Basic meeting support knowledge (Teams and AV Support)

· Physical installation of cabling, monitors, dockings, PCs, printers, ...

· Basic Network Knowledge (Patching...)

· Highly professional with excellent communication skills, professional attitude, and the flexibility to work out of hours if needed.

· Ability to understand and adhere to all company policies and work without supervision.

· Dealing with 3rd parties and OEMs if required.

· Experience with ticketing i.e. Remedy or ServiceNow.

ITIL minded
Previous experience of supporting Mobile devices and hand-held devices (Intune – DEP…)
Good administrative experience, attention to detail, ensures accuracy of data, provides data for reporting and processing of information (ticketing tool, SLA,..)

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

· Must be detail-oriented and self-motivating, polite, customer service-focused, and articulate.

· Consistently able to provide excellent customer support representing a variety of personalities and management levels.

· Strong Break Fix skills for Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks, Printers, and mobility devices.

· Broad experience in IT with a basic understanding of Networks, Servers, and Telecoms.

· Experience including remote control of PCs and video conferencing knowledge.

· A+ and HP accreditations

Pay: up to $27.00 per hour based on experience.

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm; 40 hours per week Mon - Fri; overtime where required
