Position Overview:

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Lead Service Sales Support Engineer. This role plays a crucial part in the application and proposal processes for Eaton's power distribution services solutions within the Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) Division.

Salary Range:
The anticipated annual salary for this position is between $78,750 and $115,500, depending on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications, along with market and business considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of technical pricing and commercial proposal quotations for the Great Lakes district.
  • Act as the primary liaison and trusted advisor to sales teams, channel partners, and end users for the development of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Manage pricing development, technical application support, and documentation for proposals and submittals.
  • Deliver innovative solutions that exceed standard specifications to enhance customer value.
  • Coordinate with other Eaton divisions and external suppliers to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders regarding pricing and product feedback.
  • Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and gather technical information for accurate proposals.
  • Monitor proposal and order success rates to assist field management and sales engineers.
  • Support various Division Initiatives, including service attachment orders and aftermarket solutions.
  • Provide ongoing updates on proposal activities and prepare monthly reports.
  • Engage in personal professional development and participate in industry organizations.
  • Complete all necessary product and safety training.
  • Contribute to biannual team workshops.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, ensuring project deadlines are met.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or two years of relevant field service or proposal generation experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the electrical industry.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineering degree.
  • Experience in proposal development across various Eaton end markets.
  • Familiarity with writing and reviewing work scopes and agreements, as well as GSA purchasing procedures.
