We are partnered with a pharmaceutical company on a mission to combat cancer in their search for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The AP Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, handling payroll for a small team, and supporting general office management tasks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Concur and NetSuite, a proactive attitude, and a collaborative spirit.
Location: Hybrid- 2 days onsite, Sorrento Valley
Salary: $55,000 to $68,000
Experience:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of accounts payable using Concur, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and expense reports.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain and update vendor records as needed.
- Utilize NetSuite to manage and track financial transactions related to accounting.
- Process payroll for a team of less than 10 employees using Paylocity.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Support day-to-day office operations, including organizing and maintaining office supplies, coordinating meetings, and managing correspondence.
- Assist with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a biotech or similar industry.
- Proficiency with Concur and NetSuite.
- Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong team player.
