We are seeking an organized and motivated Warehouse Assistant to become an integral part of our growing family-oriented company.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great small group of people and we need you  We are a rapidly growing foodservice distribution company based in Santa Clarita Valley with warehouses in Valencia and Fresno, CA.  We maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.  We strive for perfection in everything we do and we hold ourselves accountable.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Verifies the quantity and description of inbound food items
  • Accurately places inbound items into designated areas of the warehouse
  • Works with our Warehouse Manager in building and staging orders based on pick slips received from the main office
  • Ensuring all orders are picked accurately
  • Assist with daily/weekly cleanup to minimize dust and debris

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to move/lift up to 60 lbs unassisted
  • Physically able to withstand potential high temperatures in a typical Santa Clarita Valley ambient warehouse environment
  • Position spends the majority of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling/pushing and getting in and out of a forklift
  • Able to arrive at work "ontime" as early as 4:30 AM two - three days per week

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years related work experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Forklift Certified and comfortable operating the forklift in a small warehouse
  • Must have high-level basic math skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills and comfortable working independently and in a team environment
  • Highly organized, learns quickly and efficient
