About the Role:
We are looking for a hardworking, organized Inventory Specialist with experience in e-commerce and consumer electronics, to help our warehouse run smoothly and increase our return on investment in inventory.
What You'll Do:
- Work directly with our suppliers placing orders, forecasting, negotiating and returning defective products.
- Own our gross margins. Always be striving to increase our gross margins. Protect us from holding inventory at low gross margins.
- Continually minimize inbound shipping expenses.
- Ensure our shipping queue is always cleared out on time, working with fulfillment team to clear bottlenecks, eliminating backorder situations, and utilizing dropshippers.
- Own all orders where customers pay for expedited shipping. Ensure these orders arrive on time at minimal cost. Ensure standard processes such as fraud-checks and export controls are adhered to in these circumstances.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous materials shipping while minimizing cost and red tape.
- Work hand-in-hand with our Product and Sales teams to optimize bundles, ensuring they are always in stock at good margins.
- Oversee cycle counts and ensure inventory figures are accurate in our system.
- Review and own aggressive liquidation of all overstocked items.
- Secure back-end rebates from hitting our purchasing quotas and/or other programs.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2+ years of experience in a procurement role, with additional experience in warehousing, fulfillment and/or e-commerce.
- Knowledge of drones is a huge plus.
- Able to communicate articulately and professionally with important business partners.
- A major team player who has no problem wearing many hats and jumping into tasks that are not necessarily part of their job description.
- An “entrepreneurial mindset”, willing to push through and find creative solutions to difficult problems.
- Always looking for productive ways to fill downtime and to improve processes.
Compensation Range: $26-$30/hr, depending on experience. This position is on-site in Los Angeles, California.
