BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (CONSUMER PRODUCTS LICENSING)
Remote with 25% to 50% travel
ALTA IT Services has a direct hire opening for a Business Development Specialist with brand licensing for new products experience to support a Columbus, OH-based consumer products supply company. This position may be worked remotely with 25-50% travel for tradeshows and client meetings. Seeking 3+ years of brand licensing experience in consumer products (e.g., small appliances) or similar arenas.
Duties will entail standard business development activities, market analysis, prospecting, adding new consumer product licensees, and attending trade shows.
Representative duties in this position include:
· Developing sales materials for the brand
· Researching a wide variety of product markets, industries, categories, and trends.
· Researching and pitching prospective new licensees
· 25-50% travel for tradeshows and client meetings. Overseas travel may be required from time to time.
· Background in Licensing, client service, retail planning, brand strategy, sales, negotiation, business development, consulting, preferred.
Seeking outstanding interpersonal skills, business acumen, and professional presentation.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of Sales or Marketing and licensing experience in a selling/negotiation role, consumer goods industry preferred.
· Passion for developing sales growth plans and working with licensing partners to execute those plans.
· Commercial experience – ability to help licensing partners commercialize their products. Understanding of line reviews, development of marketing plans, and an ability to identify new opportunities to grow sales.
Base salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 annually, plus bonus/commission plan.
