As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in accordance with state regulations and industry standards. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting system malfunctions, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all installations meet safety codes. Strong technical proficiency and adherence to safety protocols are essential for this role.
Requirements:
Current State of Illinois Private Alarm Contractor License issued by the IDFPR
Proven experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance
Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from a recognized institution in fire alarm systems
Additional certifications in low voltage systems or related fields
