Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, this role involves comprehensive hands-on evaluation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of our continuous operational facility at Aligned Data Centers. Responsibilities encompass the installation, repair, and maintenance of both critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical systems situated within the building's interior and exterior.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts maintenance, monitoring, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective upkeep on essential and non-essential equipment.
  • Mechanical duties include managing and maintaining various components of the HVAC system, plumbing installation and maintenance, generator operations, fire detection and suppression systems, life safety measures, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (such as fire alarms, duress systems, card access, and CCTV).
  • Electrical tasks involve planning, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing all electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management initiatives within a critical facilities environment. Ensures compliance with all change control processes, including development, approvals, and execution.
  • Responsible for scheduling, developing, and ensuring quality assurance for all preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general upkeep.
  • Consistently performs all tasks in strict adherence to governing MOP/SOP/ERP procedures and maintenance work instructions.
  • Operates and monitors both critical and non-critical system equipment and components. Oversees work efforts (including third-party contractors) to ensure safe and compliant operation, maintenance (both corrective and preventive), and modification of critical equipment. Manages the enabling and disabling of fire alarm control panels and systems.
  • Receives and executes work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance on critical systems and the physical structure of the building. Collaborates with the Facility Manager or Lead CFT to procure necessary materials for completing all maintenance tasks and performs required work. Finalizes work orders by completing necessary documentation in the computerized maintenance management system.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years of experience as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
  • Preferred certifications in Electrical/Mechanical fields.
