Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThe purpose of this job description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, duties, responsibilities and measures of performance for the Technician of Alarm Security, Inc. The Technician is responsible for performing assigned responsibilities, complete within estimated time according to the scope of work and achieve quality requirements.
EXPERIENCE-Requires two (2) years experience in a position performing installation and servicing security systemsRESPONSIBILITIES: -Clearly communicates with supervisor and peers and resolve issues, concerns and answer questions related to the job as required.-Communicates with supervisor any variation from scope of work and or assignment.-Must be able to complete all areas outlined for this position in a satisfactory manner.-High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and one year related experience working in a similar service business both commercial and residential.-Prefers: Vocational or on the job training in electrical or security systems service and installation.-Drivers License and Training in electrical or security systems service and installation (can be obtained thru in house or on the job training programs.-Must have the good communication skills to keep all lines of communication open with supervisor and peers.-Must be able to perform all functions required for installation-Must be able to operate tools and equipment required for the job.-Must be able to effectively communicate in English, for effective communication with supervisor, peers and customer.-While performing the duties of this job, the Technician is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb with balance, and use their hands to finger, handle or feel for prolonged periods of time.-The Technician must have a full range of body movements including lifting (per ADA) at least 40-60 pounds one third to two thirds of the workday. Requirements also include manual handling of parts at extreme heights, hand tool use for drilling or to cut holes in walls and ceilings and climbing ladders. Additionally, standing and balancing on a ladder are required for long periods of time.

DISCLOSURE:Time will be spent at job sites working indoor and outdoor. Exposure will include various indoor and outdoor conditions, which includes buildings with temperature control conditions and areas without cooling or heating systems, with exposure to high temperatures and humidity during the summer and low freezing temperature during winter season. Some of the time will be spent traveling on the road to job sites. The normal auto travel hazards will apply. Travel will be in all types of weather including heavy rain and below freezing temperatures with snow conditions.
