POSITION SUMMARY
The objective of this job overview is to delineate the responsibilities, authority, and performance expectations for the Technician at Alarm Security, Inc. The Technician is tasked with executing assigned duties efficiently, adhering to the project scope, and meeting quality standards.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A minimum of two (2) years in a role focused on the installation and maintenance of security systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors and colleagues to address issues and inquiries related to job tasks.
- Inform supervisors of any deviations from the assigned scope of work.
- Complete all designated tasks satisfactorily.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) along with one year of relevant experience in a similar service-oriented role, both commercial and residential.
- Preferred: Vocational training or hands-on experience in electrical or security systems installation and service.
- A valid Driver's License and training in electrical or security systems service and installation (can be acquired through in-house or on-the-job training programs).
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
- Capability to perform all installation functions and operate necessary tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with supervisors, peers, and customers.
- The Technician will frequently stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and use hands for extended periods.
- Must possess the physical ability to lift 40-60 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
Additional requirements include the manual handling of components at elevated heights, utilizing hand tools for drilling or cutting openings in walls and ceilings, and climbing ladders. Prolonged standing and balancing on ladders are also necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work will be conducted at various job sites, both indoors and outdoors. Conditions may vary, including temperature-controlled environments and areas lacking heating or cooling systems, with exposure to high temperatures and humidity in summer and freezing conditions in winter. Travel to job sites will occur in diverse weather conditions, including heavy rain and snow.
