American Bank is looking for Client Relationship Specialist - SBA responsible for managing administrative and clerical duties for the SBA Loan Operations Manager and providing support to lenders on business loans. Our ideal candidate is a team player with strong attention to detail, has a lending background, and possesses working knowledge of preparing loan packages for business loans.

Summary of Position

Performs various administrative and clerical services for SBA Operations Manager by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Coordinates with loan officer to prepare loan reports, gather proper information, prepare documentation papers to be included in the loan package
  • Coordinates with customers to obtain all necessary information required to underwrite, close/fund loans
  • Coordinates with customers the signing of documents, funding of loan, or any other assistance
  • Works with third party vendors for due diligence
  • Prior to changing, altering or releasing any account information, responsible for authenticating the customer's identity and their authorization to act on behalf of the account as stated on the account's signature card contract.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate office machines, and other standard computer equipment

Experience Required

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in the banking environment with 2 to 3 years of experience working with loan documentation
  • 1-3 years SBA loan processing experience preferred, but not required
  • Commercial lending experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Proficient typing and PC skills with word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Knowledge of loan documentation
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Education

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • College level business or related banking courses preferred
