Client Relationship Specialist

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The primary role of the Client Relationship Specialist is to engage directly with clients on a daily basis, managing all facets of client service, operational responsibilities, and sales consultations.
This position requires expertise in delivering exceptional client service and assisting clients with various branch transactions. The specialist actively participates in fulfilling all cashiering requests, collaborates with clients to resolve inquiries or issues, and assesses client needs for potential cross-selling opportunities.
Timely and accurate responses to client inquiries are essential to ensure the retention of existing profitable clients. Additionally, this role supports internal sales initiatives by identifying referral and sales opportunities and making suitable product or service recommendations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Champion exemplary service for clients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with CNB colleagues across all divisions to support client retention objectives and proactively promote suitable solutions.
- Function as a cohesive unit to manage client transactions while upholding the operational integrity of the branch as defined by management and bank policies.
- Execute all daily processes, including cash handling responsibilities, with proficiency.
- Deliver all components related to new accounts, including account maintenance, service requests, and risk management.
- Profile clients accurately during the new account process and actively identify cross-selling opportunities for CNB products and services.
- Support sales colleagues in building and maintaining branch client relationships.
- Work with business partners to provide solutions that sustain and enhance client relationships.
- Recognize and recommend cross-selling opportunities to maximize the profitability of the banking office.
- Interact professionally with all levels of bank personnel, corporate clients, and bank clients, demonstrating a commitment to quality client service.
- Ensure decisions align with all bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations, managing associated risks effectively.
- Maintain collaboration with the City Loan Center (CLC) and sales partners.
- Comply fully with all bank operational and credit policies and procedures, along with all regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
MUST-HAVE
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience required.
- Minimum of 1 year of basic computer experience (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- General knowledge of bank operations, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with bank products and services.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
COMPENSATION
Starting base salary: $25.02 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
