We have grown from a garage-sized operation to our newest location - a 70,000-square-foot state-of-the-art brewery and taproom - at 500 Spring Garden Street. Philadelphia Pale Ale, Yards Signature IPA, and Brawler, all nationally recognized ales, lead a balanced portfolio of quality, handcrafted beers including several seasonal and limited releases, along with our First Draft innovation series. Yards Brewing Company is seeking motivated individuals to join the Packaging Department. The successful candidates will perform all duties related to the canning, bottling, and kegging of Yards Brewing Company's finished products. We are seeking the following requirements from applicants:


Essential Functions and Responsibilities


  • Properly wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and follow all safety and company policies.
  • Safely work with packaging and production machinery to ensure daily production goals are met.
  • Keep accurate records of daily/hourly production numbers and material loss reports.
  • Alert management of any potential safety or quality concerns.
  • Perform assigned tasks at various stations on the bottling, canning, rework, and kegging lines.
  • Adhere to Good Brewing Practices (GBPs).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, And Certifications


  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Prior work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in packaging, production, brewing, or food manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Forklift experience a plus (certification not required)


Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions


  • Ability to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
  • Requires frequent unassisted lifting of a variety of objects from various positions, which can range in weight from 50 to 100 pounds.
  • 2nd shift work availability is required, shift start times can be as late as 2 pm.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and noisy work environments.
  • Ability to stand 8+ hours per day.
