Technical Source is seeking a Senior Packaging Process Engineer to spearhead the design, validation, and execution of innovative packaging lines. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of process validation, change management, and packaging system architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Create and engineer cutting-edge packaging systems that meet product specifications and production objectives. Enhance packaging workflows to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and elevate product quality.
  • Validation Leadership: Direct the validation processes for both new and existing packaging lines, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory guidelines. Formulate and implement validation protocols, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ), to ensure the durability and dependability of packaging systems.
  • Startup Management: Supervise the initiation of new packaging lines, encompassing equipment setup, testing, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee the smooth integration and operation of new packaging solutions.
  • Change Management: Oversee change initiatives related to packaging operations, including the adoption of new technologies and procedures. Facilitate communication and training to ensure effective transitions and acceptance of changes within the manufacturing workforce.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for ongoing enhancement in packaging processes and systems. Drive initiatives that promote efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Engage closely with engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure that packaging solutions align with overall manufacturing goals.

Provide expert technical support and guidance to address packaging-related challenges and issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in packaging engineering, with a robust background in process validation and leading packaging line startups.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and optimizing packaging systems and managing change within manufacturing settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices pertinent to packaging and process validation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a talent for analyzing complex scenarios and devising effective solutions.
  • Strong project management capabilities, adept at juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Experience with advanced packaging technologies and automated packaging systems is advantageous.
