Job DescriptionJob Description

Professional dental team in need of a positive and energetic person for our busy practice.  The receptionist is the first line of customer service for all patients and visitors entering our office. They will greet patients, sign them in, schedule future appointments, and handle incoming phone calls. They will assist patients in accordance with the training they have received ensuring patients receive the best possible service.

Responsibilities

·         Greet and welcome guests

·         Answer questions and address complaints

·         Answer incoming calls

·         Receive letters, packages, and distribute them

·         Check, sort and forward emails

·         Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary

·         Keep updated records and files

·         Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable.

·         Schedule and coordinating staff meetings, trainings, seminars

·         Coordinate office activities.

·         Gather personal and insurance information.

·         Customer check out

·         Send email and faxes.

·         Appointment coordinator and scheduling

·         Insurance verification and benefit breakdowns

·         Filing, database, records and charts

·         Managing reports

·         Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper etc.)

·         Ensure reception area is tidy.

 

 

Education and Experience

·         General education degree or high school diploma

·         Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis

·         Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications

·         Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures

·         Working knowledge of dental insurance PPO/HMO

Salary:  16.00 to 20.00 / hour

 

Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm; Tuesday and Thursday 10:00am to 7:00pm.
