We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant to the Restoration Superintendent to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with some experience in construction or restoration to develop their skills and gain valuable hands-on experience. As an Assistant, you will support the Superintendent in managing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent with daily project tasks, including scheduling subcontractors, ordering materials, and coordinating with suppliers.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings with the Superintendent to learn about project scopes, customer expectations, and site-specific requirements.
  • Help maintain project documentation, including daily reports, work logs, and change orders.
  • Support the Superintendent in conducting site inspections to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and local codes.
  • Communicate with customers and subcontractors under the direction of the Superintendent, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
  • Assist with compiling punch list items and preparing for final walk-throughs with customers.
  • Participate in on-site activities, including moving materials, setting up tools, and assisting subcontractors as needed.
  • Take part in the execution of change orders and help with any adjustments required to keep projects on track.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in construction, restoration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop within the construction industry.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, tools, and materials.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the Superintendent and other team members.
  • Basic math skills for assisting with measurements, estimates, and calculations.
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and carry materials throughout the day.
