Fast paced dermatology practice with 3 locations (Tinley Park, New Lenox and Palos Heights) is seeking knowledgeable individuals with a strong work ethic and attention to detail who can learn quickly and multi-task.

As a patient scheduler you are the first impression of the practice when patients call in, this makes your role extremely important. Having a positive attitude, great phone demeanor and possessing patience is a must.  

Main functions of a Patient Scheduler

  • Greet patients upon calling in
  • Schedule patients for appointments following practice protocols.
  • Process referrals by registering patients and reaching out to schedule an appointment.
  • Reschedule patients as needed due to provider schedule changes
  • Process patient recalls / reminders when they are due for a follow up visit including mailing out notices.
  • Review and respond to patient scheduling emails, text messages and voicemails.
  • Run insurance verifications 
  • Collect demographic data and register patients

Requirements

  • Pleasant demeanor (you are the first impression of the practice)
  • Reliable work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work Saturday rotation (7am to 12pm)
