You must have NYC restoration experience. The company primarily does restoration for façade, parking structures, and structural restoration work. 

This National firm, with locations in 11 different states and continuing to expand, has an immediate need for an Executive Vice President With three decades in business, This Firm Provides expert services in Architectural, Civil, Structural, Construction Administration, Owner's Rep, MEP Services, and much more.

With almost 200 experts, they have made it their mission to deliver exceptional customer service to their diverse client base (multifamily, industrial, commercial, and retail buildings, insurance industry, hospitality, and healthcare).
Job Summary:
Immediate opening for a dynamic Executive Vice President to head our New York City office. This is a senior-level leadership position. The Executive Vice President (EVP) directs and implements activities and strategic sales plans for the region by evaluating market conditions, preparing sales forecasts, establishing objectives, maintaining rapport with key clients, assuring compliance with client specifications, and directing staff. The EVP also ensures that projects are completed on time and within budget and that the final work product conforms to contract and code compliance, as well as meeting the work product standards set within the Company.

Essential Functions for All Technical Positions

· Coordinate and manage internal kick-off, milestone, and closeout meetings for projects, fostering effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

· Verify schedules and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines internally and with external resources to meet project objectives efficiently.

· Conduct on-site inspections, documenting existing conditions, performing field testing, photographing, and creating hand sketches. Observes/ tracks work in progress to ensure compliance with project specifications.

· Records accurate field measurements and performs calculations throughout the duration of the project.

· Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

· Understand investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specifications, to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.

· Communicate project status and proactively address any issues or discrepancies that arise. Escalate unresolved issues to their direct supervisor in a timely manner.

· Maintain organized records, files, drawings, and other essential project data, ensuring they are appropriately filed within the company’s systems for easy accessibility and future reference.

· Collect post-project feedback to identify areas of improvement and communicate this feedback to their direct supervisor.

· Keep up to date with job knowledge and industry trends through active participation in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging in professional societies and networks.

· Engage in networking activities and represent the company at events, seminars, and continuing education presentations. Actively seek marketing opportunities to promote the organization’s presence in the industry. (Not limited to exclusive company events.)

· Performs other duties related to the position as assigned by the firm, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to contribute to the team's overall success.

Special Requirements

Technical

· Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team throughout the design and construction phases, maintaining a solid understanding of relevant regulations, codes, and standards to ensure compliance.

· Perform forensic inspections to assess project conditions and identify potential issues or deficiencies, applying technical expertise.

· Supervises testing activities and ensures accurate data collection for accurate interpretation of results. Perform a wide range of testing, including but not limited to material testing, structural analysis, and performance evaluations.

· Produce comprehensive field reports detailing observations, measurements, and findings from site visits and inspections.

· Oversee and assist in developing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, and construction documents.

· Generate expert reports that provide in-depth analysis, conclusions, and recommendations based on project requirements and findings.

· Effectively present at mediations and provide expert testimony through depositions, showcasing expertise and opinions.

Client Relations

· Collaborate with legal teams and represent the firm in mediation, providing expert opinions and strategic guidance.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.

· Drive regional growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding the company's footprint in key markets.

· Actively participate in and contribute to marketing and promotional efforts to enhance the firm's regional visibility and reputation.

· Conduct all types of project meetings with clients and stakeholders effectively.

· Act as a trusted advisor, foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

· Develop and implement strategic initiatives aligning with company goals, ensuring regional and overall growth.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to implement effective campaigns tailored to the needs and trends of the region.

Internal Team

· Collaborate with Principals to develop and execute long-term strategic plans that drive business growth and expansion.

· Provide strategic leadership and vision to align the company’s goals and objectives with the industry trends and market opportunities.

· Develop and implement effective marketing and business development strategies to expand the company’s client base and market presence.

· Provides strategic leadership and oversight for the entire department, ensuring company goals and objectives are achieved.

· Provides guidance and mentorship to senior leaders, supporting their professional growth and development.

· Review project work, budget, goals, deliverables, and timelines to ensure success and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

· Collaborate closely with the team to address technical challenges, provide guidance, and facilitate problem-solving.

· Foster cross-functional collaboration and achieve organizational objectives by collaborating with other divisions and departments.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· This position has supervisory responsibilities, overseeing multiple departments in the region.

· Recommend promotion, termination, and performance improvement plans for team members based on performance evaluations and assessments.

· Conducts interviews to identify and recruit talented individuals who align with our firm’s values and goals.

· Perform annual performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, setting performance goals, and identifying professional development opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering or Architecture.

· Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Work Experience

· Ten-plus years of experience in the architectural and engineering consulting industry.

Licenses & Certifications

· Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license is required

· QEWI in New York strongly preferred

· OSHA-30 Certification (NY).

· A valid United States Driver’s License is required, as this position requires travel to and from client sites.

· Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in project documentation and deliverables.

· Strong project management and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.

· Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.

· Professional and courteous interaction with clients and colleagues.

· Ability to attend client meetings and events as needed.

· Flexibility to work overtime, as needed.

· Familiarity with drafting software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Revit) for positions that utilize the software.

· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members from various disciplines.

· Ability to work in the field and to travel outside local areas as workload and projects when needed.

· Efficient time management skills while adhering to project budgets.
