Job Summary: The Designated Security Supervisor will oversee security officers and assist in the quality of service produced by SSNW. The Designated Security Supervisor will conduct patrols at work sites to be sure all policies and procedures are being followed. You will be considered for duties that may include Emergency Relief if the supervisor on duty is unable to reach the site that is requesting assistance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Trains security staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security staff.
- Must be available for on-call situations 24/7
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Write and submit security reports.
- Provide security and wear the SSNW uniform, will respond to sites as needed. (Could be multiple shifts daily.
- Maintain law and order in the area of jurisdiction.
- Monitor staff by patrolling with them.
- Protect people and property.
- Look out for suspicious people, vandalism, or hazards.
- Conducts patrols.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Background:
- Must have previous experience as a police officer, military police officer, or extensive security officer background.
- Armed or ability to become armed.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Must be able to observe situations and make appropriate responses.
- Must be able to work with speed.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with confidential and classified information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five years of related security experience (required).
- Active Security License.
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive periods of standing and sitting.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Ability to traverse various areas of the facility to conduct inspections.
