Position Summary: The Executive Director (ED) of the Iowa Coalition of Recovery Support Providers (ICRSP) will be responsible for leading the organization in its mission to build a reliable network of recovery support services and quality recovery residences throughout Iowa. The ED will provide strategic vision, leadership, and operational management to ensure the achievement of the organization’s goals. This role requires a dynamic and passionate individual with experience in nonprofit management, recovery support services, and a strong commitment to ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the ICRSP Board of Directors.
  •  Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship with the Board of Directors, providing them with timely and accurate information for decision-making

Program Development and Management:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
  • Ensure that all programs and services are delivered in accordance with ethical standards and best practices.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as necessary.

Fundraising and Financial Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial support from diverse sources (grants, donations, partnerships).
  • Prepare and manage the organization’s budget, ensuring financial stability and accountability.
  • Provide regular financial reports to the Board of Directors

Community Engagement and Advocacy:

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, promoting its mission and vision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including recovery housing providers, community partners, government agencies, and donors.
  •  Advocate for policies and practices that support recovery housing and equal access to recovery services.

Staff and Volunteer Management:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and a commitment to the organization’s mission.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing support and development opportunities

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports to the Board of Directors, funders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of the organization’s activities.

Qualifications:

●     Bachelor’s degree or lived experience in nonprofit management, social work, public health, or a related field.

●     Experience in a leadership role within a nonprofit organization, preferably in the recovery support services sector.

●     Strong understanding of recovery housing and recovery support services.

●     Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.

●     Demonstrated experience in fundraising and financial management.

●     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

●     Strong organizational and project management skills.

●     Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build consensus among stakeholders.

●     Commitment to ethical standards and the mission of the ICRSP.

Salary range Dependent on Qualifications (DOQ).
