We are seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily activities in our restaurants and events.  To excel in this role, familiarity with restaurant and event operations and a strong understanding of exceptional customer service are essential.  This position provides a competitive starting salary, guaranteed days off, benefits, and access to golf, racket sports, and a fitness center.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

- **Customer Service**: Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction. Greet every table that dines in the restaurant.

- **Guest Relations**: Respond efficiently and accurately to guest concerns and inform the Food & Beverage Director of any issues.

- **Quality Control**: Regularly review product quality.

- **Shift Management**: Organize and supervise shifts. Be visible to staff and guests.

- **Staff Performance**: Review staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.

- **Inventory Management**: Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products, and relay to the Food & Beverage Director.

- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations, reporting issues to the Food & Beverage Director.

- **Operational Costs**: Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.

- **Employee Training**: Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices and standards.

- **Vendor Coordination**: Review invoices from vendors for accuracy, note any discrepancies, and resolve immediately in coordination with the Food & Beverage Director.

- **Communication**: Coordinate communication between front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house staff.

- **Supervision**: Oversee shift schedules, supervise kitchen and wait staff, and provide assistance as needed.

- **Onboarding**: Arrange and execute the proper onboarding of new employees (scheduling, training, and testing).

- **Safety & Hygiene**: Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.

- **Guest Feedback**: Gather guest feedback and recommend improvements to our menu or operations.

- **Daily Operations**: Coordinate and maintain daily front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house restaurant operations, including service, inventories, scheduling, cleanliness, maintenance, and organization.

- **Policy Monitoring**: Uphold and monitor company policies and procedures.

 

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

 

- Work experience as a supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry; private club experience is a plus.

- Familiarity with restaurant and event management.

- Excellent customer service attitude.

- Strong communication and team management skills.

- Availability to work within operating hours (e.g., early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, weekends).

- High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.

- ServSafe Food Manager certification.
