Job Title: Sales Representative – Smart Home Automation

Summary: As a Sales Representative at Hi Solutions, you will be required to generate sales of our innovative smart home automation solutions and products. You will play a crucial role in promoting our brand, identifying potential leads and new clients, and nurturing existing relationships to achieve specified sales targets. This position requires a deep understanding of home automation technologies, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Generation: Prospect and generate leads through various channels including cold calling, networking, and referrals. Prepare and present sales presentations to potential clients and channel partners, highlighting the features and benefits of our home automation products and solutions.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and channel partners while continually seeking opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services. Address inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Utilize market research to tailor sales strategies and messaging to different customer segments effectively.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our home automation products, their functionalities, and their applications in residential settings. Educate clients and channel partners on the features, benefits, and value propositions of our products, providing demonstrations and technical support as needed.
Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop strategic sales plans and objectives. Implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets, expand our customer and channel base, and achieve sales targets within assigned territories.
Sales Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including sales calls, meetings, and correspondence using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. Generate sales reports and analyze sales data to identify trends, track performance against targets, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred or two years of related sales experience.
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the home automation or technology industry. Secondary industries include Builders, Architects and Designers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence clients at all levels.
Competent and effective public speaker.
Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a customer-centric approach to sales.
Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and understand complex home automation systems and technologies.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office / TEAMS, and other sales productivity tools.
Knowledge of CEDIA, AIA, ASID, NAHB a plus.
