The HRA plays a critical role in ensuring that the HR department’s day-to-day operations are running smoothly. From scheduling interviews, maintaining filing systems and help manage HR databases, the HRA’s duties and support are essential in helping the HR department to stay organized and on top of their various responsibilities.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and TASKS:

  • Assists the benefits administration process to include the enrollment process, answering general benefit questions and provide support to the benefits audit process.
  • Supports recruitment efforts to include posting ads, reviewing applications, schedule interviews, creating job offer letters, etc.
  • Conducts the onboarding process including new hire paperwork and orient new employees to the organization.
  • Helps with the organization, planning and participates in company events.
  • Maintains compliance of all State and Federal mandated regulation.
  • Participates in ISO safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee recognition activities.
  • Helps maintain accurate department and employee records and reports.
  • Provides administrative support to fulfill compliance tasks.
  • Assists in the collection, organization, and analysis of HR data like employee demographics and training KPIs to generate HR reports.
  • Handles employee complaints and grievances at first level and escalates to HR Manager.
  • Ensures employee data is handled and protected under applicable compliance laws.
  • Communicates appropriately and effectively with staff, managers and executives.
  • Effectively communicate and provides HR process guidance to employees, managers and executives.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and EDUCATION:

Communication: Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and relationship building skills with all levels of the organization.

General Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in providing general support for recruitment, benefits, payroll, employee records/documentation, employee data management, etc.

Background Experience: Entry level knowledge of Federal and State employment laws. Able to prioritize and effectively coordinate multiple tasks with little supervision. Ability to work in a team environment, and to learn and adapt to a changing environment.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR/Payroll database applications preferred.

Education: Associate’s or higher degree in Human Resources, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is acceptable.
