We are seeking a Site Foreman/Supervisor to become a part of our team You will help plan and facilitate all grounds maintenance, cemetery and burial services at national cemetery.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all daily scheduled work to include- mowing, weed control, mulching, tree trimming, grave excavation, headstone setting and maintenance
  • Attract and train new employees
  • Inspect completed work performed and resolve areas not meeting performance standards
  • Ensure all task order and repair requests are completed in a timely fashion
  • Supervise and train staff on how to perform job, equipment usage, safety
  • Ensure inventory or materials and supplies are stocked or ordered from vendors
  • Supervise staff daily performance
  • Manage and report employee time and payroll hours correctly
  • Manage expense account and submit weekly budget expense reports by deadline
  • Prepare performance reports to be submitted by close of business daily

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in supervising grounds maintenance or other related fields-5 years minimum
  • Clean driving record- no DUIs or suspensions, etc
  • Licensed in Turf and Ornamental for State of Virginia (or able to reciprocate)
  • Certified OSHA 10 hr General Industry
  • Familiarity with using heavy equipment-excavators, tractors, backhoes
  • Ability to build rapport with customer
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in the best interest of company and customer
  • Ability to work on site with staff
