Key Responsibilities
  • Perform General Construction Work: Work under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor to complete various construction tasks, including digging, excavating, and operating heavy equipment.
  • Drilling Operations: Assist in drilling operations, including hand digging holes and trenches, and operating drilling equipment.
  • Underground Cabling Installation: Install underground telecommunications cabling, including flagging traffic and setting up safety perimeters.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various types of trucks and equipment, including backhoes, trenchers, and other heavy machinery.
  • Transportation and Material Handling: Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Climb into and out of equipment, operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery, and perform repetitive motion tasks.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors in a diverse environment, including congested and remote areas, and work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Lift and carry up to 75+ pounds, and reach, bend, and stoop while performing work.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and employees, and maintain visual and audible contact with other crew members and moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects.
