Accounts Receivable Specialist 

Pay Rate: $50,000 to $65,000 a year

Location: Houston, TX 77080

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

 

A commercial electrical contractor is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team on a Direct Hire basis. This role is responsible for managing the billing process for construction projects and ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations. Submit your resume today

 

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and issue invoices to customers.
  • Verify billing information.
  • Collaborate with project managers to understand project milestones and billing discrepancies and address any discrepancies or changes in project scope.
  • Prepare regular billing reports for management review.
  • Maintain records of billing transactions, lien filings, and collection activities.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

 

List Qualification or Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a billing or accounts receivable role; preferably in the construction or electrical contracting industry.
  • Knowledge of construction project billing processes.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, change orders, and cost tracking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and billing software.
