Experienced Accounts Receivable/Collections professional who works under minimum supervision; integral part of accounting team working with operating groups, support staff and accounting management.
**General Responsibilities**:
- Monitor payments and outstanding accounts receivable balances
- Support Manager to establish, maintain, and improve operational processes and relationships, both internal and external
- Monitor and manage the A/R mailbox, providing the highest-level customer service regarding collection and customer accounts issues by responding to customer requests in a timely manner
- Provide customers with documentation such as invoices and monthly statements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing and collections issues and optimize processes
- Review and verify the accuracy of A/R and other documentation as warranted
- Oversee the timely collection of outstanding receivables.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize cash collection
- Assist in preparing supporting documentation for the annual audit
- Prepare various Accounts Receivable and Collections Reports
- Prepare write-off documents as appropriate
- Coordinate liens filing process
- Assist with lien waivers
**Required Education/Licenses**:
- Associates Degree in Accounting
**Required Experience**:
- 5-8 years of professional experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Collections required
- Solid knowledge of accounting
- Requires initiative based on familiarity with the organization and accounting practices and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines
