Resource Specialist

Resource Specialist for our Integrated Operations Plan & Support Services (IOPSS) Team located in our Headquarters downtown office in Los Angeles, CA. The Resource Specialist will interact with internal and external clients up to the executive level.  They’ll answer phones, create PPT Presentations & Organization Flow Charts, process invoices (heavy), and must have knowledge of NERC, FERC, EIA, CPUC, CEC, and CARB reporting requirements.

Location: Downtown office in Los Angeles, CA

· This is a temporary position up to 6 months.

· Hybrid schedule (2 days in the office/remote hours)

· Schedule: 44/36 Monday - Friday with alternating Fridays off.

Pay: $64/hour to $71/hour

Resource Specialist Duties Include:

· The Resource Specialist will act as Project Manager; plans, coordinates, and conducts projects within area of responsibility, including monitoring scope, forecasting, process billings and heavy invoices.

· Monitors and verify performance, status of water supplies, status of power supplies and coordinate acquisition of power resources.

· Administers water management or power programs and agreements; develops guidelines, procedures, certification, track methodologies and recommends water or power program efficiencies and improvements.

· Create, maintain, and operate flow chart models*.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or 4 years as a MWD Administrative Assistant III.
  • EXPERT KNOWLEDGE: MSOffice (PWPT and Excel).
  • KNOWLEDGE IN: NERC, FERC, EIA, CPUC, CEC, and CARB reporting requirements (REQUIRED)
  • KNOWLEDGE IN: Budgeting and Finance, contract administration, preparing reports and SharePoint.
  • MUST HAVE: Heavy invoicing processing.

· General Electric Utility knowledge would be helpful but not necessary.

  • Personable, Team Player, Flexible, Multitask and handles pressure well.
  • Detail orient, Organized, Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills a must.
  • Valid CA driver's license.
  • No Cal PERS Membership
