Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AP/AR Clerk to manage our accounts payable and receivable processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in both AP and AR functions, with the ability to handle high volumes of transactions efficiently. This temp-to-hire position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within our company and contribute to our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain and organize AP files and records.
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Record payments received and applied them to the appropriate accounts.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, managing collections as necessary.
- Reconcile AR accounts and prepare monthly reports on account status.
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations.
- Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
