Are you a meticulous and driven accountant with a passion for real estate and fund management? We’ve teamed up with a rapidly expanding real estate firm in search of a talented Commercial Property Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial properties and investment funds. If you bring extensive experience in commercial property accounting and fund administration, coupled with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for financial reporting, this is your chance to make a significant impact. Join our dynamic finance team and play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for commercial properties and associated funds.
  • Fund Accounting: Manage and reconcile fund accounts, including calculating management fees, performance fees, and ensuring compliance with fund agreements and regulations.
  • Property Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting for commercial properties, including rent collections, expense management, property budgets, and financial forecasting.
  • Investment Analysis: Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities, including financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and due diligence support.
  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies related to property and fund management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on commercial property accounting and fund management. Experience in real estate or investment funds is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in fund accounting and investment analysis.
  • Advanced skills in financial software and tools (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial information with accuracy and precision.
