JRC Mechanical is looking to fill the position of Construction Administrator in our Chesapeake, VA location. This is a part-time position with the possibility of being full-time. Job duties will include badging for employees associated with on-base jobs, inputting employee time sheets into the database, maintaining monthly reports, and assisting with office administrative tasks such as ordering office supplies, invoicing, and managing purchase orders. 

Position Overview: As a Construction Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction projects run smoothly. You will manage administrative tasks, coordinate between different departments, and support project managers to keep operations efficient and compliant with company standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to project managers and construction teams, including managing documentation, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project files.
  • Documentation Management: Oversee the preparation, distribution, and filing of construction documents such as contracts, change orders, and permits.
  • Coordination: Act as a liaison between employees and supervisors to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Office Management: Handle office-related tasks such as ordering supplies, managing inventory, and organizing records.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction administration or a related field. Experience with Computer Ease and Raken is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage large volumes of information and documents accurately.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges calmly and efficiently.
