About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative - Commercial to join our team at Quality Equipment. As a Sales Representative - Commercial, you will be responsible for representing the company for the sale of machinery, parts, and handheld products to customers within our local market area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business-to-business (B2B) customer accounts, understanding their business needs, challenges, and goals, and working to develop solutions through unique combinations of Quality Equipment products and support.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in our local geographic area, targeting private landscape contractors, governmental agencies, construction contractors, and other trades.
  • Product Knowledge and Support: Maintain current knowledge of product features and benefits, with a specific focus on commercial mowing equipment and compact construction equipment.
  • Administrative and Operational Tasks: Accurately complete all documents related to sales transactions, maintain company assets and equipment, and ensure all manuals, price lists, and other documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Follow-up: Ensure customer satisfaction by following up with customers after sales to ensure they are satisfied with the item and service provided.
  • Team Collaboration and Work Schedule Management: Work closely with the store sales team and supervisor to manage the work schedule and maintain full store coverage, participating in Saturday work schedule rotation when seasonal hours dictate.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Commercial Mowing and/or Construction Background: A good understanding of local conditions and knowledge of sale and resale values of machinery.
  • Computer Skills: Good computer skills, including proficiency in PC software and ability to work with manuals and detailed information.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with daily short and long distances, and dexterity to grasp and manipulate tools and parts.
