Position Overview: As a Project Manager with GDOT experience, you will oversee and manage civil engineering projects from inception through completion. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with GDOT standards and regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget. You will utilize your expertise to navigate the complexities of civil engineering projects and contribute to the successful execution of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, GDOT requirements, and company standards.
  • GDOT Compliance: Oversee all aspects of project compliance with GDOT regulations, guidelines, and procedures. Ensure that all project documentation and reporting meet GDOT standards.
  • Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with design teams, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address and resolve issues proactively.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards and adheres to engineering specifications and safety regulations.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, GDOT representatives, and other project stakeholders. Maintain clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Oversee the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost control and financial performance in line with project goals.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of project management experience in civil engineering projects, with a proven track record of working on GDOT-related projects in Georgia.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of GDOT standards, regulations, and procedures. Familiarity with civil engineering design principles and construction practices.
  • Skills: Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software and tools. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office products is a plus.
  • Certifications: Relevant project management certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.
