Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a variety of tasks, from processing orders to addressing client concerns, and will thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients through email, phone, and in-person interactions, efficiently managing order intake and account updates.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals, while also being capable of independent work as needed.
- Accurately complete contract forms, determine service charges, and ensure that all customer requests and changes are processed promptly and accurately.
- Address and resolve billing issues or service complaints professionally, escalating more complex matters to the Client Services Manager as necessary.
- Provide cross-functional support by training on various accounts and offering backup assistance to fellow Customer Support Specialists.
- Ensure the Client Services Manager is kept informed of all client communications and account developments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall team objectives.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a college certificate or technical school program, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally in both small group settings and one-on-one interactions.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform calculations involving money, weight, volume, and distance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
Physical & Work Environment:
- The role primarily involves sitting, using hands, reaching, and communicating with others. Occasional standing and walking are required.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
- The work environment is generally moderate in noise level but can vary depending on daily operations. The ability to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is essential.
