Director of Business Development

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead our strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence within the EVSE industry.

As a subsidiary of Phihong Technology, Zerova leverages their 50+ years of experience as a global manufacturer of power products to provide an industry-leading product portfolio to address a broad set of EV charging use-case scenarios.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and market expansion goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs to drive product development and innovation.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including EV manufacturers, utilities, government agencies, and industry associations.
  • Assist the sales team in prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals to meet revenue objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business plans.
  • Monitor and analyze market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 7 years in business development or sales leadership roles within the EVSE, automotive, or clean energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of EV technology, market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and customer preferences.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of driving initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and market research.

This is a fully onsite position located in Fremont, CA; Monday- Friday from 10 am to 7 pm.
