DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT:

We passionately challenge, recruit, and develop Christ followers to join us in pursuing the vision and mission of GEM.  

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Develop GEM’s Mobilization and Church Engagement in the Nashville and surrounding area

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Generate leads for new mobilization within the region
  • Develop and strengthen relationships/partnerships with key churches, colleges, and ministries in the region
  • Attend mission conferences in the region (and elsewhere when needed)
  • Make first step calls within the region (and elsewhere when needed)
  • Track with leads, contacts, applicants and appointees from first contact through departure to the field
  • Deliver against expectations regarding Contact Management software (Salesforce)
  • Mobilize and mentor University Mobilizers
  • Attend weekly calls with supervisor, US Mobilization team, and US staff meetings
  • Help with Ten2 project preparation and execution
  • Mobilize, train, co-lead, and debrief 1 short term team throughout the year
  • Aid in organizing and executing local church lunches and Discovery Days

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates hybrid office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.  

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full time position, days and hours of work flexible.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 25% travel. Some of the travel is international.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in related field preferred.
