JOB OVERVIEW

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of products within the warehouse. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills to ensure the efficient tracking and movement of goods. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with the warehouse team to oversee inventory accuracy, conduct regular audits, and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·         Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking incoming and outgoing shipments.

·         Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits to ensure accuracy.

·         Update and manage inventory data in the warehouse management system (Carton Cloud).

·         Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting findings to the Warehouse Manager.

·         Assist the Receiving Lead in the inventory and allocation of all incoming products.

·         Manage the placement and organization of the shipping and receiving area.

·         Ensure that all outgoing shipments are accurately picked, packed, and documented.

·         Collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of orders.

·         Prepare regular inventory reports for management review.

·         Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including adjustments, transfers, and returns.

·         Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

·         High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.

·         Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role in a warehouse environment.

·         Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, task orientation.

·         Ability to communicate with adjacent staff, supervisors, and customer representatives with clear messaging, tact, and professionalism.

·         Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

·         Strong computer skills for inventory management and customer inquiries.

·         Strong organizational and time management skills.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

·         Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
