Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist (Stockroom Clerk) plays a crucial role in managing and organizing the inventory of parts, supplies, and materials essential for aircraft modification and maintenance. This position requires experience and does not involve supervisory responsibilities, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts regular reviews of the inventory database to ensure accuracy, maintaining optimal stock levels of parts and supplies.
  • Oversees the arrangement of items within the stockroom to guarantee safe storage, efficient space utilization, and easy access.
  • Identifies and removes life-limited items from inventory upon reaching their expiration dates.
  • Implements a barcoding system for parts and supplies, ensuring the inventory management system is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Reviews pick ticket documents and work orders for accuracy.
  • Checks inventory stock bins for part number accuracy, quantity, and cleanliness, ensuring a first-in, first-out rotation of stock.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in chemical storage areas.
  • Ensures production areas are consistently supplied with quality materials.
  • Responsible for maintaining safe and clean operational practices.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Additional training or education related to inventory management.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and proper storage conditions for products.
  • Proficient in using various tools such as pallet jacks and calculators.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English for business correspondence.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety policies and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is situated in a warehouse environment, requiring the use of standard safety equipment. The role may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, and the employee may encounter fumes or airborne particles.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements of this role include the ability to sit, use hands for small movements, and occasionally walk or reach. Heavy lifting is required, with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 50 lbs. frequently, and 20 lbs. regularly.

TRAVEL: Travel is not anticipated for this role.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.


SHIFT DETAILS: Night Shift from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a 10-hour shift and a 30-minute dinner break.

ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION: Night Shift Differential available.
