Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Consistently achieve acceptable 'turns' and minimize slow-moving and obsolete parts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Cost Management: Aggressively manage departmental operating expenses to minimize costs and maximize profitability.
  • Parts Sales and Operations: Successfully manage the store's Counter Parts Sales operation, prioritizing transactional accuracy to maximize profitability.
  • Service Productivity: Maximize service productivity and profitability through the execution of seamless and efficient transfer of Parts and accessories to branch Technicians, Service vehicles, and parts cages.
  • Vendor Partnerships: Demonstrate a productive and collaborative commercial partnership with all vendor/suppliers.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Generate sales to customers for parts, assemblies, and complete rebuilds, while acting as a liaison between Taylor Power System and the customer to resolve any issues.
  • Merchandising and Recommendations: Make constant recommendations and suggestions for merchandising programs to drive sales and revenue growth.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Three to five years experience in industrial parts sales.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work without constant supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and capability of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record to be insurable by corporate insurance carrier.
  • People Skills: People skills essential, as this role involves daily communication with customers and dealers.
