Our client, an American athletic footwear and apparel company is looking for a Principle Global Partner Communications Coordinator to join their Communications team
The Principle, Global Partner (GP) Communications, will oversee the creation and drive compelling and strategic stories and campaigns to define and elevate the brand and our leadership.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- If this is you, you’ll be working with a highly motivated team across Communications and other business functions, at both the Geography and Global level.
- As Principle, Global Partner (GP) Communications,, you will lead the function across the core facets of CORPORATE, CONSUMER and EMPLOYEE Communications.
- You will establish and strengthen authentic connections with INTERNAL and EXTERNAL audiences across WE to advance the Company narrative through clear, consistent, breakthrough brand, purpose and product storytelling.
- A typical week might include leading and coordinating multi-territory plans (with specific focus on Mexico, Brazil, Australia and other key markets) to achieve the best possible coverage for Converse across Global Partners, while driving the strategy and budget planning for all related Communications events.
- Or it might include building and developing strategic media relationships with key media and media influencers that regularly cover or engagement with our Company, while actively creating new ones.
- As Principle, Global Partner (GP) Communications, you will proactively engage with and drive storytelling around our diverse workforce to position our company as the most inspiring company for employees. You will also act as media spokesperson for the Company at key brand and corporate events as well as develop and execute media messaging, including brand, athlete, influencer and crisis communications.
- Equally, you will participate in the development of strategies, messages, plans and communications tools to successfully enhance the Company's reputation in the areas of Sustainability, Community Impact, and Inclusivity.
- You will directly report to the VP, Global Communications with a dotted line into the VP/GM, Global Partners.
- As part of the Global Communications org, you will engage and liaison with your Global Communications counterparts at the Global level and across the Company's other Geography teams (NA, Asia, WE) to align on and drive annual and seasonal planning and execution.
- As a member of the GP Geography team, you will work closely with the other functional and territory leads to inform strategic planning, particularly Marketing (for Consumer Comms), the Geography and Territory GMs (for Employee Comms) and other key Global Partner functional leaders (for Corporate Comms).
- Will work as an integrated member of the Global Partners Leadership Team (GPLT) to both provide counsel and develop and execute strategic communications planning.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business or related field.
- A minimum 10 years relevant work experience.
- Previous experience working with consumer and brand focused companies is preferred, not required.
- A self-starter who instinctively and consistently creates personal and professional stretch goals and meets them.
- Works well with others with the ability to build trust with the team and work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
- Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities. Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Curiosity and ability to think creatively, flexibility.
Microsoft and Keynote experience preferred
Will be working with Global partners but specifically in Southeast Asia and South America
