Job Title: Communications Manager, Global Health Equity

Join Mass General Brigham in a dynamic role that combines communications expertise with a passion for global health equity. As a Communications Manager, you will play a key part in promoting the Center for Integration Science in Global Health Equity's mission to address severe, chronic noncommunicable diseases in highly constrained health systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communications strategies to raise awareness about the Center's work and promote global health equity.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Director, research team, and Brigham and Women's Hospital's Office of Strategic Communications to identify, craft, and disseminate media releases on scientific findings, major grants, and programmatic initiatives.
  • Manage contractors and freelancers producing media assets for the Center and the Network, including photographers, videographers, and writers.
  • Provide writing, editing, and production support to update and enhance the Center's and Network's websites.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing calendar of traditional and digital media opportunities to establish an effective communications drumbeat.
  • Develop, maintain, and customize media lists.
  • Work with other Advancement Team members to manage the Network's social media channels.
  • Build an active and effective network of communicators across partner organizations to help raise the profile of PEN-Plus internationally.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, public health, international relations, or another related field.
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of experience working in communications, preferably in the health, higher education, or nongovernmental organization sector.
  • A passion for promoting global health equity.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Familiarity with updating and maintaining websites using WordPress or other content management systems.

This is a hybrid remote position in a fast-paced and exciting environment. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently and as a part of a dynamic team.
