This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insurance Verification: Accurately verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility. Ensure all necessary information is collected and processed for insurance claims.

  • Patient Interaction: Greet and check-in patients in a professional and welcoming manner. Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues that arise promptly.

  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as needed. Coordinate with medical staff to manage the patient flow efficiently.

  • Financial Management: Collect and process patient payments, including copayments, deductibles, and coinsurances. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

  • Documentation: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential. Prepare and handle necessary documentation for insurance claims and billing.

  • Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Ensure clear and effective communication at all times.

  • Administrative Support: Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and handling correspondence. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a primary care setting or similar healthcare environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using office equipment and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative tasks.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or training related to medical administration or billing is a plus.
