CPA firm located in Andover, MA seeking Per Diem experienced accountant. Our smaller size and the diversity of our clients allows for a wide range of responsibilities and exposure to a variety of tax products in this position.

As a member of our firm, you will have direct contact and responsibility for maintaining client relationships and therefore must have strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and/or review federal and state (multi) income tax returns for individual, corporate and partnership/LLC, fiduciary, and exempt organizations.

  • Interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting and compliance services in a timely and effective manner
  • Tax notice resolution and response
  • Successfully initiate and conduct tax planning for clients with little or no partner involvement.
  • Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing/meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax strategies.
  • Keep current on tax laws, regulations and practices.
  • Research tax issues.
  • Perform GAAP Reviewed Financial Statements for several clients.
  • Provide support for clients during IRS and State audits.

Required Abilities: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least four years of recent public accounting experience. Current and comprehensive understanding of income tax laws and accounting principles. Self-starter who is detail focused and uses strong research and analytical skills to make independent quality decisions. Highly ethical. Knowledge of Adobe, Excel, and Word required. QuickBooks & CCH Profx experience preferred.

Qualifications : A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills fostering client and internal relationships excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
  • Decisively executes solutions to problems
  • Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/Tax law knowledge.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Licensed CPA or EA a plus
