The ideal candidate will be tasked with nurturing client relationships, preparing and auditing tax documents, and delivering insightful tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and audit federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships/LLCs, fiduciary, and exempt organizations.
  • Deliver innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services directly to clients.
  • Efficiently address and resolve tax notices.
  • Conduct independent tax planning with minimal oversight.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by adhering to deadlines, maintaining clear communication, and proactively sharing tax strategies.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax legislation, regulations, and practices.
  • Research complex tax issues as necessary.
  • Prepare GAAP-reviewed financial statements for various clients.
  • Provide assistance during IRS and state audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of seven years of recent experience in public accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of income tax laws and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, QuickBooks, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with CCH Profx software is preferred but not mandatory.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a knack for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Advanced technical skills in tax preparation, compliance, and research.
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A Master's degree in Taxation or LLM in Taxation is advantageous.
  • CPA license is preferred but not mandatory.
