Position Summary: We are looking for an Experienced Accountant - Tax Preparer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and providing strategic tax advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships/LLCs, fiduciary, and exempt organizations.
  • Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services directly to clients.
  • Resolve and respond to tax notices efficiently.
  • Conduct tax planning independently with minimal partner involvement.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by meeting deadlines, maintaining open communication, and proactively sharing tax strategies.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and practices.
  • Research complex tax issues as needed.
  • Perform GAAP reviewed financial statements for various clients.
  • Offer support during IRS and state audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of seven years of recent public accounting experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of income tax laws and accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong research and analytical skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, QuickBooks, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with CCH Profx software is preferred. not mandatory

Desired Skills:

  • Proven ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a talent for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Advanced technical skills in tax preparation, compliance, and research.
  • Deep knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Master's degree in Taxation or LLM in Taxation is advantageous.
  • CPA license is preferred. Not Mandatory
