Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Assistant/ Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate surgical scheduling, manage patient communications, and ensure a seamless experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures with precision.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their surgery and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation for surgeries.
- Maintain meticulous records and manage insurance authorizations.
- Provide support and information to patients and families throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a surgical or healthcare coordination role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with gynecologic oncology is a plus, but not required.
- Proficient in medical software and electronic health records.
